All-ability Dance Workshops

If you are looking for a dance activity for your school, youth organisation or day centre, you may be interested in one of my dance workshops.

Sessions are typically 30-45 minutes long and are suited to both seated and standing dancers. The dance movements are easy to follow and I use a wide range of popular songs from different genres.  The workshop starts with a gentle warm-up and ends with a cool down.

I am happy to travel to any accessible venue within Northern Ireland. Please get in touch via my contact page if you would like to enquire about availability or prices.

Movement Breaks

Calling all conference organisers! These days we are all very aware of the negative impact of sitting still for long periods of time. Why not break up your conference or workshop itinerary with a 5 or 10 minute movement break? I can tailor songs and movement to suit your audience, getting everyone to move their bodies, as they stand or sit. It's fun, it's engaging, and best of all it shows your connect to the needs of your conference delegates.

Costs dependent on journey time and number of breaks required. Please get in touch for more information.

Dance Performance

As a seated dancer  who works with other dance partners, I would love to hear from you if you are seeking an inclusive dance performance.

Whether you are promoting inclusive events or launching a new accessible venue, what better way to emphasise your commitment to inclusion than by entertaining your guests with an inclusive dance performance?

You can see some of my work in my portfolio. Don't hesitate to get in touch via my contact page if you would like to discuss.

Testimonials

On the 8th October, my family and I had the pleasure to attend the Crescent Arts Centre in Belfast to watch a performance entitled ‘Communication’. This was performed by three artists including one of the creatives called Talia McDowell. Talia worked very closely on this piece of work with the two other artists and performed in the production also.
When entering the theatre, it was laid out with various boards that explained different ways to communicate, a sign language interpreter on stage left and an audio describer in the tech booth. The production number was very emotional and moving, it told the story of how someone with a disability struggles to communicate with other members of the public, family and friends, but the conclusion was that all communication is possible and it doesn’t matter the disability, everyone has something to say and a way to express one’s self in a positive and encouraging way. It was a blessing to witness this beautiful piece of work and I hope to see more like it in the future.

I was really encouraged to see members of the blind and deaf community also benefit so greatly from this performance.
